I loved this place as soon as I walked in. The food is fresh and the salsa was perfectly spiced. The melon drink was to die for and very refreshing.

Found a culinary gem in North Carolina. Food is absolutely delicious and the service is outstanding. I highly recommend Taqueria Jalapeño. I had a quesadilla with Mexican style chicken with 3 carne asada tacos. I asked for my tacos tortillas not to be fried and they were very accommodating to my request. Check them out!

This place is sort of new is only open on certain days. But this place is great. From the hand pressed tortillas to the homemade salsa. This place has the best tacos around. If you're ever out this way, give this place a shot. The service is also very professional and friendly. A+

Excellent, authentic tacos. Delicious homemade chorizo. I dined alone one afternoon while running errands. The woman there was very helpful answering questions about the menu. The place isn't much to look at but they were attentive, kind and the food was wonderful! I've stopped in a few times since for to-go orders and have not once been disappointed. BEST mexican style tacos in town and cheaper than the chains and other places. I think they charge $2 per taco and have a special where you get 3 tacos, beans and rice for like $7 or $8.

This is the only place in hope mills with authentic tacos. I recommend the al-pastor or carne asada.

We were in the hunt for a good authentic Mexican Restaurant and we hit the jackpot!!
The food is cooked fresh to order. The food is delicious!!

    Authentic Mexican!

Do not come here if you are looking to fill up on chips, greasy food, and disgusting margaritas. I am sure you know where to find Mi Casita.

Come here for the fresh ingredients, flavor packed meat, and homemade tortillas and horchata.

I've enjoyed the tacos de carnitas and torta de carnitas. My husband has ordered the sopes and huaraches and left with a smile. They lost one star because they do not serve tap water and only offer bottled water. But for the portions and quality of food, I will happily overlook it.

Very authentic and cooked fresh. The shop is a little deceiving from the outside....looks really small and half of the sign is missing but the food is legit.

The only reason that I'm giving 4 stars is because there were only 3 people sitting to eat but the service was very slow to start. 1st world problems I know :)

I have been to many small Mexican restaurants and sometimes it seems like the food is pre prepared and comes out super fast. But you could tell that they actually made the food fresh to order. It tasted very good and was also authentic. To make things better they had Horchata, which I have found is hard to find at some Mexican restaurants.

If you're looking for bells and whistles, this is for you. But if you want quality authentic Mexican food then go here. The wife and I have eaten here twice, first time we had menudo and chicken tacos, second, enchiladas and tacos. Be advised, you'll be waiting a little bit to get your food so find a good companion and grab a seat.

I would vote Taqueria Angelitos as the most authentic Mexican restaurant in the area... hands down. I've been eating here for a while now and I am always pleased with my meal and service. This is a family run restaurant and everyone there is just as nice as they can be.

Don't let the taqueria in the name fool you, they have delicious meals in addition to their tacos, sopes, huraches, tortas, and soups. Their menu is actually rather expansive. I like to jump around the menu each time I go and so far everything as been fantastic. They have daily specials and fresh aquas frescas. The salsas are all homemade and very fresh. I could go on and on about the food, but I will resist.

For me, the people and the quality of the food is far more important than decor or location. That being said, it is a casual type of place. A place doesn't have to be fancy for it to earn five stars in my book. The staff will take good care of you and your food will be cooked to order with a comforting pride. I always sort of feel like I have been welcomed into their home for a good meal when I eat here.

My wife and I actually just returned from having lunch at Taqueria Angelitos. I was thrilled when I walked in to see that they had fresh chile rellenos today. It's one of my favorite dishes, and in a way I feel that it is a true test to the authenticity of a Mexican restaurant. Shortly after we ordered I heard the blender being fired up to whip up some fresh egg batter for the chilles rellenos. That sound puts a smile on my face. Of course, I was also happy that I ordered an extra, and had them before, so I knew what was I was waiting for. They don't always have these on the menu, only when the chilies are in season and fresh. So, if you happen to walk in a see them on the board I would get them while they are fresh. There is just nothing like a good chile relleno to me.

Check it out for yourself and support local business. There is plenty to try.

Best and most authentic Mexican food my husband and I have had since moving from San Diego to Fayetteville. Will never have to eat at Mi Casitas again!

Taqueria Angelitos is the best and most authentic Mexican I have had on the east coast. Since leaving California I have hunted high and low for someplace like this. Unfortunately for me I live nowhere near here so must memorialize my visit with a review.

At our table we had enchiladas verde (Angelitos) and an assortment of tacos, rice and beans. The beans were amazing and just like you get at the best taquerias in Southern California. The carnitas was so spectacular I almost asked for it to go in a tub. The Mexican chicken was stewed with onions and spices and the al pastor was also phenomenal. The enchiladas were very tasty too.

To top it off, the family that owns and runs the place is as sweet as can be.

    Enjoy!

Being from SoCal I feel that my judgement on Mexican food is spot on. And this place is good.

Spanish speaking staff, tacos, and horchata. I felt like I was home.
$2 per taco - I ordered 6 carne asada and wifey ordered 3 chicken.
$2.99 for kids chicken quesadilla. You get what you pay for so it wasn't that big, but it wasn't too small either.
Aguas frescas come with free refills. 3 horchatas for us.

Food is simple, quick, and tasty. Nothing fancy on the inside. Still worth a visit.

If you want authentic Mexican food, this is the place to go. Being from California I've been longing for good Mexican food and this hidden gem is exactly what I needed. Not a fancy place but the food is what makes me give them a 5 star.

I ordered their special, chile relleno and it was delicious. My friend have the pozole with chicken and that was also amazing.

It's family owned and you can tell that they truly care about their customers.

I'll definitely be a returning customer.

Tacos were delicious! I arrived around 1pm and it wasn't crowded. Prices were great too. Didn't wait a whole lot for my food, and I was greet quickly. The place was really clean. I grabbed food for me and my coworker and paid $12. I will definitely come back for lunch.

My new favorite place! Had lengua tacos, shrimp cocktail and my son had chicken quesadilla (like usual). I will recommend this place to anyone who likes authentic food.

  • *****

By far the best Mexican place in town! I'm from Southern California and this is the closest thing to home. I seriously recommend this place to all!

  • *****

Best tacos in Fayetteville by far! Authentic and better than every other restaurant in the area. If you're craving tacos this is the place.

A small family owned restaurant serving authentic Mexican food. It is soooo good!!! I love real authentic Mexican food.. And this is the place to get it .

Awesome authentic Mexican food! I had the enchiladas supreme with cheesecake flan for dessert & a soda. My bill was only $11.31! Everything was tasty. This place isn't fancy by any means though so don't bother dressing up. The service was a bit slow & when I ordered dessert I was told that they didn't have any of the stuff listed on the menu except for the different flans & those came out of plastic containers with labels on them like you see in the grocery store so I don't believe they were made fresh there. It was still yummy though & I'll definitely be going there again.

I get tacos al pastor and a gordita here at least once a month. This is delicious, affordable Mexican food in Fayetteville. Well worth the trip and the wait.

Im Mexican and the struggle is always real when finding an authentic place. This is it! The owners are from Southern Mexico but the cuisine is eclectic Northern and Central. Where else can you get a great caldo de pollo on a regular day?!

Being from SoCal i wanted to try every Mexican Restaurant around the area that fits my taste. I love their Mexican Tacos. The staff were also friendly and their spicy sauce was on fire!

One word AUTHENTIC. You will not find beans with mozzarella cheese or super blended red salsa. You will find great tasting authentic tripa or asada tacos. The menu is no frills and straight to the point. Service is a bit slow, but expected with a good food. Seriously do your taste buds a flavour favour and swing by. Beer selection is Mexican! Carta Blanca, Modelo, Sol! Don't be afraid of the condition of the place because the food is worth it. Be sure to practice your spanish because the 2 ladies who work there are sweet as can be, but spanish is their first language! Hope you enjoy!

Was nice and taste. Had the tacos and soda. Little slow, but worth the wait. I'll be back again. My new addiction.

Real good homemade Mexican food. Homemade horchata, it's not overly sweet like everywhere else.

This is my second time this week since having found this local gem. The first time we visited it was one hour before closing so they only had tacos available. While inconvenient, I appreciate that their food is made fresh every day. Also, the tortillas are handmade, and that is a rarity. Their aguas taste like they're made from scratch, not like pre-packaged drinks made from concentrate. What the restaurant lacks in ambiance it makes up for with the quality of the food. On my second visit the son was our waiter and he was very sweet, I enjoy supporting a family-run business.

Had some delicious chorizo tacos. Tortillas made by hand and a salsa bar. Highly recommend this place if you want some quick yummy Mexican food.

This place doesn't look like much and doesn't seem to have many reviews, but I highly recommended going here! We had tacos and horchata and it was delicious! I haven't found a taco place to stand against all the amazing taco places in San Diego, CA but for this area, this is the closest I've got. I'll be going back soon!

The best authentic Mexican food in the area. Not a whole lot on the menu but VERY good and you will find something that you enjoy anyways. The guacamole is very fresh and the best I have ever had. The prices are great as well. Definitely a go to for Mexican food.

Friendly and welcoming environment. Family owned and ran. Great mix of Mexican, Salvadorian, and Guatemalan food. Best horchata I've had in a while. Great selection of tacos. I will be coming back for more! I'll be a regular.

This is the best Mexican food around. They hand make the corn tortillas. I ordered chicken enchiladas with rice and beans. The sauce was to die for. My sister ordered the sopes and said that it was the most delicious sopes she has ever had. This restaurant is a hole in the wall but that didn't stop us! Those are the best ones to go to. I'm so clad we stopped and will be back very soon.

Very good homemade Mexican food. Especially the tacos are very delicious.

  • *****

The food is really good. The salsa roja was nice and spicy. The tacos were served on homemade tortillas, and the meat was deliciously seasoned. They only didn't get 5 stars from me because the place is kinda dirty. Eithet way... I'm coming back!

This is what happens when you look for a whole in the wall, you get authentic Mexican food!

The food was delicious we loved it. While you wait for your food they treat you to some chips and salsa. There’s many plates to choose from as you can see from the menu. They have Mexican music playing in the background. The decoration of this place makes the setting even better. My waitress was kind it was a great experience. Recommend this for anyone seeking a great Mexican restaurant.
